Alfred’s Victorian Restaurant, Middletown, Pa., is one of the best places to have a romantic dining experience. The property's craftsmanship, strength, and beauty create a unique setting for memorable dining.
In 1970, the restaurant opened its doors after some refurbishing. Original fixtures from the old Victorian home were repaired, walnut, cherry and chestnut woods were polished, and stained glass was cleaned to reveal striking beauty.
This Tuscan-Italian style dining experience boats one of the best wine lists which accompany its signature dishes and homemade desserts perfectly. From dining in a quaint alcove made for two overlooking the blossoming magnolia tree to taking a stroll in the herb garden for a glimpse at the chef’s secret ingredients, this restaurant has witnessed hundreds of engagements and some weddings, only reaffirming the romantic charm this gem holds.
Through the years, Alfred’s Victorian has grown into a Central PA landmark, winning awards of local and national acclaim including, Best Atmosphere, Best Service, Most Romantic, Best Overall Dining, Best Wine List, Best Place for Quiet Dinner, Best Place for a 1st Date, Best Fine Dining Restaurant, a ranking by Fine Cooking in the Top 100 Restaurants in the U.S. and the 5 star Diamond Award.
